Fire Station and Fire Truck

The Collingwood Fire Department (CFD) has a proud tradition of assisting residents and effectively responding to emergencies.

The Fire Department consists of a team of dedicated full-time and volunteer personnel who respond to emergencies and calls for assistance.

In our ongoing efforts to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our community, we are creating a 10-year community-driven Fire Services Master Plan to guide operational improvements and enhance service delivery throughout the community.

To accomplish this, we have engaged the Emergency Management Group (EMG) to assist us with this initiative. EMG is a consulting firm that has worked with many fire departments in developing their master fire plans, station assessments, and fire service reviews.

To gather feedback, we ask that you take the time to complete this survey. Your confidential responses will help to inform the new Fire Services Master Plan that will continue to meet the diverse needs of all residents.

The Master Plan for the Collingwood Fire Department will address current and anticipated community fire risks and needs over the next five-to-ten-year years, and 20 years for the asset life cycle planning. The objective of the Master Plan is to examine, research, and review all aspects of the Fire Department operations, planning, fire prevention, training, and education, communications, apparatus and equipment, maintenance, human resources, station suitability (accommodations), budgets, and large-scale emergency preparedness.
