About this Campaign

Collingwood should be a place for everyone. That means a town where there are enough housing options so people who live, work, grow up and age here can live in a home they can afford.  We also want people to move here, invest here, and bring their talent to Collingwood!

That’s what the What’s Possible for Collingwood campaign is all about.

Let’s talk about “What’s Possible when there are housing choices for everyone?”

Why this campaign?

To inspire everyone, not just those directly impacted by the housing crisis, to think about what having a wider variety of housing could mean for the community, and to clearly understand why it is so important.

To inform you about what the Town is currently doing to help shape what’s possible for housing.

To involve you in the solution and next steps for What’s Possible in Collingwood.

Over the next two years, the Campaign will:

  • Clearly illustrate why a variety of housing options benefits everyone in the community.
  • Educate and inform by dispelling common myths and misunderstandings about housing and growth in general.
  • Share real stories from local workers, families and older adults who struggle to find housing to fit their needs.
  • Inspire constructive conversation about housing and growth in Collingwood through events and engagement opportunities.
  • Share the Town’s progress towards housing initiatives and solutions.
  • Invite public participation. This solution relies on the involvement of everyone!

This campaign aligns with the great work of the Affordable Housing Task Force’s grassroots efforts. Learn more about what the Task Force is doing by signing up to the Affordable Housing e-Newsletter below!
