We're all in this together so let's work together!

This Community Forum is for YOU the residents and businesses in the Town of Collingwood to connect with Council, Administration and each other. We know this is a stressful and uncertain time for everyone, but we're all in this together!

Please send us your questions/suggestions in the tab below and share your positive stories, give a 'shout out' to someone who has helped you or tell us something you are thankful for.

If you are a business, we want to know where support is most needed now, as well as ideas to help with economic recovery once we get through the COVID-19 crisis. Your questions and suggestions will inform the Economic Recovery and Support Plan. Of course we would also love to hear stories about innovative business solutions or shout outs to companies who have shown creativity in the face of adversity.

Please express yourself through the Questions & Suggestions, or Stories & Shout Outs tabs below.

The Town of Collingwood has proactively implemented a number of temporary measures to help get ahead of COVID-19 and to protect Residents, Businesses, and Staff. The Town is closely monitoring the situation and is ready to ramp up Business Continuity and Essential Services Plans in the event that COVID-19 escalates. Town Staff and Council are working hard to safeguard the best interests of the community while continuing to successfully deliver Town Services.

The Town’s critical and essential services, including fire services, drinking water & wastewater treatment, snow clearing, enforcement of priority bylaws, and essential front counter customer services will continue (online and over the phone). The Town has isolated critical Staff so to ensure the continuation of essential services.

PT Clinic availability during Covid-19 Pandemic

by LarryWilson, over 4 years ago

Hello, I'm Larry, living in Mississauga.

My grandpa is leading his retirement life and he always has back pain and neck pain. We tried replacing his mattress with a new medical mattress, but that doesn't make any difference to his pain. So we consulted a doctor and he suggested to take regular physiotherapy treatment to reduce the pain. He wrote down some tablets and suggested my grandpa to a physiotherapist. Regular physio exercise may reduce pain.

The Doctor suggested a physiotherapy clinic in downtown. So I searched for the PT clinic, but I'm confused to make a decision. Due to... Continue reading

    Hospital visits

by collingwood67722, over 4 years ago

Big shout out to the Collingwood Marine Hospital and all the hard working staff. I've had to attend to a ski injury during this pandemic with 3 visits to get my casts exchanged. Its been a great experience all around feeling safe, as well the staff are friendly helpful and are keeping a positive spirit. Thank you all so much for taking care of us each and every day. Wishing this virus will find its way to a speedy end and we can all go back to a better normal...Stay safe everyone

    Community Love

by Resident Glen, over 4 years ago

Today we took on a little art assignment aside from our daily schooling activities and decorated our side window with a little light of hope for our community neighborhood friends to see as they venture on there walks. Unfortunately our windows have a little to much white trim in and around it but the 'Collingwood Strong' can still be seen and read as you walk on by.

Let’s light up this town to show our support and thanks.

Let’s light up Collingwood and Blue Mountain

I have a suggestion to show our thanks and support to front line workers. Doctor’s, nurses, medical professionals, grocery store clerks, truck drivers, fast food workers who are working to aid others through the COVID-19 outbreak.

On a certain date in the future, we ask all citizens to place luminaries or a simple candle outside your home as we unite with light. The town could shine lights on the grain elevators, and hopefully we could get Blue Mountain Ski Resort to light up the hills.

Let us pull together and shine some light... Continue reading

    Thanks to Beaver and Bulldog!

by Al Ionson, over 4 years ago

After arriving from Florida and going into self isolation we soon found that we were unable to acquire some basic food items. Thanks to Brandon Biggs, owner of Beaver and Bulldog we were able to add a loaf of bread( not on the menu) to our dinner order.

    THANK YOU BIGGSY!!
