Council Compensation and Composition - What do you think they should look like?

The Town of Collingwood (“Collingwood”) has engaged an external consulting firm to study the composition and compensation of its Town Council (“council”), specifically its Mayor, Deputy Mayor and 7 Councillors. The purpose of the study is to determine how Collingwood compares to other municipalities of similar size, complexity and/or budget in regard to matters that Council considers, and/or nearby municipalities in terms of council size, compensation and the part-time status of their roles. As part of this study, Collingwood is conducting a survey designed to obtain feedback from residents about these topics. The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. The findings of the survey will help inform the recommendations of the study.
